Mission Statement

Best Purified Water’s mission is to provide purified drinking water and water treatment systems to as many people as possible.

History

The first full-service water stores in America were established by Gene Shaparenko in 1983 in the South Bay Area of Northern California. Originally named “Aqua Technology”, the two stores were the first to sell purified water, water treatment systems, and related products to the public. After 25 years of service, Shaparenko sold the two stores to pursue other interests.

The main store in the Cambrian area of San Jose was acquired in 2008 by long-time customers Aurelio and Lydia Tandoc. The store was renamed “Best Purified Water” and still retains the ‘Water Store’ sign above the entrance. The second store was sold to another party, but ended up closing it’s doors. The steam distilling units from the second store were acquired by the Tandocs and are now in service at the Hillsdale Avenue store.

Due to the extremely expensive equipment required, Best Purified Water is the only water store in the South Bay Area to produce and sell steam distilled water.

Regulatory Compliance
